Issue Position

Roger's wife, Stacey, is a Mental Health Therapist with a focus on counseling adolescents. Roger understands the concerns of many families struggling with a family member diagnosed with a mental health illness and getting the appropriate care.

Roger will fight for and support the following legislation as your representative:

- establish an ombudsman or public advocate office dedicated to helping mental health facilities and care givers to navigate government regulations.

- establish a statewide bed registry accessible by mental health facilities and care givers to identify psychiatric beds within 8 hours.

- establish education programs at the Community College level to meet the demand of mental health care needs.

- support effective reentry criminal justice and reentry programs.

- promote substance use treatment services.
